A contemporary garden design with soft, natural planting. Stone is used to create a simple sculptural structure with particular emphasis on the connection with the interior of the house. Levels were adjusted to create a single flowing floor plane. Planting is brought right up to the house with the fresh greens of Epimedium and Melica in Spring moving into the deep purples and texture of Clematis, Thalictrum and Cercis in Summer. The garden is experienced as part of the house and has an impact from the moment you enter through the front door.
